Description: |
1. WORKFORCE TRAINING ACT This state program provides training grants up to $5,000 for each new job. Eligible businesses must create at least 10 net new jobs and pay the average state or county wage. This grant does not apply for replacement employees, part-time, or seasonal jobs.
2. WORKFORCE INVESTMENT ACT (WIA) Montana provides for a discretionary component of the federal WIA Program. Grants provided by the state are used to provide incumbent worker training to existing and new employees. Grants of up to $5,000 per job may be awarded after a business has operated for 120 days. |
Eligibility Requirements: |
1. Must be a eligible business with at least 50% out-of-state sales, must meet job creation and wage requirements and meet all other requirements.
2. Must be an eligible business, must pay wages of at least 110% of Montana's median income level. Projects should have at least new and existing full-time positions and meet all other eligibility requirements.
