| Description: | 1. COMMUNITY ECONOMIC BETTERMENT ACCOUNT(CEBA)/ ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT SET-ASIDE(EDSA) - Program provideing financial assistance to companies that create new quality employment opportunities and make new capital investment in the State. 2.VENTURE PROJECT COMPONENT- Designed for early-stage and start up businesses to allow for long term job creation and investment performance. 3. LOAN AND CREDIT GUARANTEE FUND- Program to assist businesses with funding to help grow. Funds used to purchase new equipment & machinery, R&D, marketing, working capital for operations and export transactions. |
| Eligibility Requirements: | 1. Assistance targeted to moderate and low income jobs. Funds to be used for building construction and reconstruction, land and building acquisition, equipment purchases, operating and maintenance expenses and site development up to $1 million. 2. Project must be located in Iowa, meet CEBA/EDSA wage requirements, make a capital investment related to the project, demonstrate a need for the funds and not begin prior to receiving the funding. 3. Business must have less than 200 employees and be in one of IDED's target areas (biosciences, advanced manufacturing, information/solutions and financial services. |
