INDUSTRIAL INFRASTRUCTURE GRANTS: Grant funds will be made available to the extent a community lacks the resources to completely finance public improvements to allow industries to locate new facilities, expand existing facilities or prevent the relocation or closing of a facility. |
| Eligibility Requirements: |
Available to for-profit manufacturing, processing and assembly companies with proposed wages above the average for the area and that provide health benefits and have high value-added processes. Areas of high economic distress have additional discretion on the types of eligible businesses. The company must not make a public announcement or begin construction prior to receiving approval. Th eimprovements must benefit more than one business. Facilities owned by the company or a private utility are not eligible. Must have the support of the local government and at least 51% of the jobs must be for low to moderate income individuals. |
