Incentive Title:	Training Grants
Description:	1) NEW AND EXPANDING INDUSTRY TRAINING PROGRAM- This program provides for grant/reimbursement of certain training costs for up to three years. Project is managed by a local community college which works with the business to determine the training content. 2) NEW EMPLOYEE TRAINING- Qualified businesses are eligible for training grants assuming they hire 12 new full time employees and meet capital investment requirements. 3) FOCUSED INDUSTRIAL TRAINING- Funding is available for training existing employees due to new competencies for a specific job. The program funding is discretionary and somewhat limited. 4) CUSTOMIZED INDUSTRY TRAINING- Funding is available for customized training of existing employees. The training must have a direct application to the specific job. The program funding is discretionary, but not as limited as the Focus Industrial Training funding. Application is completed by the participating college in the designated region of the state.
Eligibility Requirements:	1) Must be a qualified business, must create 12 new jobs, and meet applicable wage thresholds. 2) Must be a qualified business (manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, financial centers, call centers)meeting required capital investment. 3) Training must be due to new job specific competencies. Must file registration and fee of $50-$65. No capital investment required. 4) Must make required capital investment and have wage increases meeting or exceeding the average wage threshold of the county tier designation. No registration fee.
