| Description: | (1) INDUSTRIAL ACCESS ROAD PROGRAM This incentive assists new and expanding manufacturing and processing companies to provide access roads. The incentive can be used for existing and new road construction. The maximum award for an industrial access road is $300,000. (2) RAIL INDUSTRIAL ACCESS PROGRAM This incentive provides funding to construct railroad lines for new or expanding manufacturing and commercial businesses. Financial assistance to any one locality is limited to $450,000. (3) TOBACCO REGION OPPORTUNITY FUND Funding may be available for utility extensions, roads, rail, site acquisition, and others for companies investing in designated tobacco regions. |
| Eligibility Requirements: | (1) Must be a new and expanding manufacturing and processing company. (2) Must be a new or substantially expanded industrial and commercial project. (3) Must be in Virginia's tobacco-producing regions, Businesses must creat new jobs and include a minimum new private capital investment of $1 million. |
