Description:	West Virginia has several work force training programs each of which provide customized training of new employees and/or existing employees. (1) GOVERNOR'S GUARANTEED WORK FORCE PROGRAM Grants up to $2000 per employee are available for eligible businesses. The grants cover employee recruitment, pre-employment assessment, high performance workplace development, structured on-the-job training and development, and workplace education. (2) COMPETITIVE IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM This program offers grants of up to $1000 per trainee. Requires the business to make a 50% cash match and a documented in-kind contribution.
Eligibility Requirements:	(1) Must be an eligible business and must create 10 new jobs. (2) Must be a manufacturer with 500 or fewer employees.
