| Description: | (1) DIRECT LOAN PROGRAMS Low-interest, direct loans are available to qualifying expanding businesses. Up to 45% financing of fixed assets is available for 5, 10, or 15 years depending on the nature of the project. Loans may be used for acquiring land, buildings and equipment. (2) REVOLVING LOAN FUND PROGRAMS West Virginia offers several such programs funded by federal grants from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC). Typical projects run up to 12 months and may be eligible for up to 80% assistance. In-kind matches may be eligible and there is no maximum grant request. Eligible activities include improving training, infrastructure, entrepreneurial opportunities, and health care resources among others. |
| Eligibility Requirements: | (2) Approved projects must be located in Appalachia and directly support one of the Commission's economic or community development goals for the region. |
