Vision 2011 is the five-year community and economic development plan focused on the creation of wealth, economic prosperity, and increased quality of life. This growth will be achieved through the creation of new jobs, the retention of existing jobs, expansion of the tax base, and capital investment by the private sector.

Throughout its history, Muncie-Delaware County's business community has adapted to wave after wave of economic change, building on our historical strengths while eagerly seizing new opportunities to generate jobs and create economic security for the people of our citizens. Today Muncie-Delaware County is focused on growing in the areas of advanced manufacturing including alternative energy, logistics, information technology, life science and agriculture.

International and Fortune 500 companies are increasing calling our community "home". Brevini (Italy), VAT (Germany), Miasa (Spain), Magna (Canada), IBM, and Sallie Mae are combining to create create over 2,200 new jobs and invest over $160 million.

Vision 2011 is currently only one of less than thirty economic development organizations in the United States and Canada to be designated as an "Accredited Economic Development Organization"(AEDO) by the International Economic Development Council.
