The Xenia Economic Growth Corporation (XEGC), a hybrid public-private non-profit corporation has been designated by the Xenia City Council as the economic development agency for the City of Xenia, Ohio. In this capacity, the XEGC has the responsibility of initiating, developing, and administering the various elements of the Xenia Economic Development Program.

XENIA, OHIO is centrally located in the "Transportation Triangle" formed by the three major Interstate highways: I-70, I-71, and I-75 with I-675 providing a "shortcut" between I-70 and I-75. These north-south, east-west arteries are within minutes of XENIA via 4-lane U.S. 35, U.S. 42, and U.S. 68, tying the community to one of the nation's largest overnight markets.

The XENIA Schools continue to demonstrate excellence and innovation in program development and performance. Xenia Community Schools enrolls approximatley 5,100 students in Xenia, Xenia Township, Spring Valley, Spring Valley Township and Wilberforce.

The City of Xenia has a diversified base ranging from "traditional" manufacturing to high technology including research and development. Currently this industrial base consists of 54 industries with a total employment exceeding 2,216. Only (3) of the 54 industries are unionized.
