Community Assessment- Peoria is an emerging city in Northwest Metropolitan Phoenix. It is a community recognized for its high quality of life, outstanding recreation opportunities, an excelling school system and low cost of living. It has experienced tremendous growth. Since 2000, Peoria’s population has increased by 36.2 . We have taken aggressive steps forward to achieve our economic development goals: strategic plan, investment policy, and amenable City Council. EDS Strategy We have financial resources to invest, a City Council focused on Economic development, a Council adopted strategy, a skilled workforce in a diversified set of industries, an abundance of available land and room to grow, access to transportation and an excelling school system.

Our Economic Key Assets- • A population that continues to grow. The current population base is projected to increase by 15.2 to 170,053 in 2014. • Access to a large and growing labor force.
