You'll love to entertain family and friends in our historic central business district. In the past ten years, five full blocks of downtown buildings have seen exterior renovation. The Downtown Strategy Plan, completed in November 2000, highlights the City's commitment to and planning for the continued health of the downtown. This plan identified three areas of opportunity. The largest is known as the First Street Redevelopment project area; the latest concept plan for this 105 million dollar project can be viewed online. The project is moving through City Planning process and could ultimately add over 250,000 s.f. of new property to our downtown, including first floor retail, upper story office, and housing.
