Grant County Grant County is located in south central Arkansas just 30 minutes from Little Rock, the capitol city. Grant County is in the rolling hills that are mostly covered with pine and hardwood timber. The economy is somewhat timber-based but there are several light manufacturing plants that include three Kohler Corp. plants that manufacture kitchen and bathroom faucets and molded plastic products. Other plants produce building panels, dunnage bags, lumber and other wood related products. US Highways 167 and 270 run through the center of the county and intersect Interstate Highway 530 on the northern border.
